Hello, I’m Vanessa a portrait and branding photographer based in beautiful Bangalow, nestled in the hinterland of the Northern Rivers, NSW.

I'm originally from England and was sponsorship by a travel company in London to work in Australia. Not long after arriving, I met my partner John also from England and what began as an adventure quickly became something much bigger. We fought hard for our residency and eventually our citizenship, we then had a little family and never looked back.

Then seventeen years ago, John and I made the move from Sydney to Bangalow with our two young children, we were drawn by the slower pace of life and more importantly the strong sense of community, It didn’t take long for this beautiful place to feel like home.

Photography has always been part of who I am, much to the amusement of friends who’ve patiently sat through countless holiday slides! But everything shifted when I picked up my first second-hand SLR camera 15 years ago. I was instantly hooked. What began as curiosity quickly grew into a lifelong passion. Over the years I’ve continued to study, practise and refine my craft, combining formal learning with plenty of self-taught experience along the way.

Now that my children are grown, I’m embracing this new chapter by immersing myself fully in my photography and creative journey, wherever it may lead.

I work closely with local businesses and entrepreneurs to create professional headshots and branding imagery that feel authentic, confident and aligned with their brand. My approach is relaxed and collaborative, helping you feel comfortable in front of the camera so we can create images that truly represent you and to always have some fun.

Beyond my work locally, I’m passionate about travel and welcome opportunities to photograph in new locations around the world. Most of my travel images are for sale if you're interested in purchasing a print, I’d love to hear from you.
